need for speed rivals (PC) cannot save game data on HDD

Hi Guys,

_ I just bought game Need For Speed rivals on origin.com a few days ago and installed it on my PC (windows 10). I did some keyboard setting and completed 2 training sessions,  at this time, the game suppose to save the process or sync the game data origin cloud service. However, There is no saving icon  appear on the screen or message regarding to saving process. I continue play the game until my rank got 8 and then I decided to exit the game. I wanted to play it again on the next day but the game could not load my previous process and it go through tutorial AGAIN. I tried a few more time but there was nothing change, I mean, the game again took me through the training session again and again.

_ I did contact with EA help. they ask me to reset origin, game folder and restart my computer. However, It not fix my problem. Please advice me what I need to do for my situation.

Thank you,

Luan

Can you try opening Origin as admin? You can do so by right-clicking and selecting Run as administrator. Additionally, from within Origin please also right-click NFS and select Repair Game. Afterwards, also check the Game Details section, you should see a Cloud Storage tab here. If you run into issues with it being in, you can also try turning it off.

I've also encountered a similar user report from another Need for Speed game, here the user did not give administrator privileges to his Documents folder and so the Save files could not be written. This meant that the computer was unable to write save data there.

Your save data should be located in Documents\Ghost Games\Need for Speed(TM) Rivals. Right click the Ghost Games folder and select Properties and Security. From here you can give additional access to users on your system.

If you have additional questions, please let me know.
