Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed does not run at all!

Well first off, yes I know this board is for Hot Pursuit, but there is no board for Shift 2 so I am placing this here. I bought this game about three weeks ago on steam.  Steam has been giving zero ...

Turns out after not playing the game for awhile and renaming the application again it started working perfectly again for me. Did this way work for anyone else? Just curious.

Thank you bradcq. I am happy to hear that and indeed if some players could also post their feedback on this, that would be very helpful.

In the meantime I will list below the workarounds mentioned in this thread that could help in resolving this issue:

  1. Updating OS Windows (e.g. Service Pack 1) - by roguetwo
  2. Downloading the game via Origin - By bradcq
  3. Updating video card drivers -  By th3f15t
