Need for Speed Shift won't launch

It sounds like the game's trying to load the wrong resolution/aspect ratio and crashing from it. 

If you go yourusername\Documents\NFS SHIFT\, you can see the config files. Be sure to make a backup to desktop first, then delete the local config files. The game should create a new one when it starts next, hopefully this time with the proper aspect ratio/resolution.
