NFS Hot Pursuit Cannot Connect

I play this game all the time and have never had an issue connecting to the EA Servers.  3 or 4 days ago my connection just dropped and now each day it cannot connect.  Are the EA Servers down?  Is this a known issue?  Thanks for any help!
