Thanks for updating me about online pass. but I have nfs hot pursuit limited edition and still it is asking of pass code, also there is nothing to download related to online pass for hot pursuit in Playstation network.

it does not open any box to enter pass code neither anything available in Sony PSN to download.

Try entering the code directly in the XMB menu 'Account Management' and 'Redeem code.'
Your DLC and base game must be from the same region. If you have different PSN Account profiles for different regions, make sure you are logged into the correct Account.
