If you have won the shelby gt 500 from the snoop dogg event, the prototype parts from the event are converted into standard parts for regular use. You can then modify the car with any parts that you get normally (through crates and races) as long as the parts are made for muscle cars.
@Newerbie The credits, the prototype performance parts, and the prototype materials actually all get converted into In-Game Currency. Only the prototype performance parts and the prototype materials already applied to the Ford Shelby GT500 Snoop Dogg Edition will stay with the car and will be changed to Muscle performance parts.
