NFS PayBack DirectX error(4294967287)

So I bought NFS Payback yesterday and installed it over night, as I checked in the morning how far the download has come, I had the DirectX Error, and now the download is stuck. I think it was about 68% through. My PC is running on Win 8.1pro, Nvidia Geforce GTX 750Ti, intel core i5 4570 CPU @3.20 GHz, 16GB Ram. I tired looking through other threads but the only solution that worked with the Person who opened the thread was to reinstall Windows

    After reinstalling, running Origin.exe from my data files as administrator just like DXSETUP.exe, running and repairing all other vcredist files the game now downloads past 86%, I hope that it will work out now, but untill I am sure everything is fine I will keep this topic open 😉

    @ValknutBloodfang

    Can you temporarily disable any antivirus software and manually run the following file as an Administrator (right click, run as admin):

    Origin Games\Need for Speed Payback\__Installer\directx\redist\DXSETUP.exe

    You could also do the same with the three vcredist files too.

    When I try to run the DXSETUP.exe as admin, it loads for quite some time and afterwards I get an error report that "a cabinet file can not be trusted", I already tried fixing this by restarting my cryptography in the windows control panel, but that didn't work. I never had any problems like this with installing games so far, the only problems I had were quickly solved by starting the directx setups befor starting the game(all of which were fully downloaded, and not like NFS stuck on *%)

    Are you trying to run the DXSETUP from the location I posted above or did you download from elsewhere on the net?

    Hello,

    I am running into the same issues. I am getting a DirectX message  (4294967287) as well as my direct x wont instal and runs into a error.

    I have noticed this error alot when installing to a secondary drive, with windows being on a ssd. any help would be appreciated.

    Can you post the exact error you see when you try to install DirectX?

    Are you installing from the game install location or from an internet download?

    Pour ma part ca n'a rien resolu, le probleme est toujours que DX n'est pas a jour pour Origin sur Anthem... Etrange quand meme!

    I get the same mistake, I do not speak English well, so it's probably written wrong. I get to install DXSETUP.exe and then I get this error:  also have windows 7.
