NFS Porsche Unleased
I am trying to run the game on windows 8.1 Recently I installed windows 8.1 in an old laptop and the game ran just fine. But i need the game installed in another PC, which is also running windows 8.1. But the game won't start up (using the desktop icon), Porsche.exe reading directly from the CD won't start as well. It only read the setup.exe, which opens up the initial screen with the options like "race", "uninstall", "reinstall", etc.

P.S. the 2nd system is:
MSI B-110 (or H-110, not sure)
Pentium duo-core
GTX 1050 ti
16gb corsair (i dont remember the speed as i dont use that PC as much)
You need to remove the update that prevents the cd-rom validation scheme (I think it's SecureRom) from installing or running it's special drivers. For Windows 7 and 8, it is update KB3086255 that needs to be uninstalled and then hidden the next time you do a windows update so it won't get installed again. This would apply to almost every NFS game made before 2007. NFS Undercover uses an online activation so this should not be an issue. I'm not sure about Shift 1 or Shift 2.
