I would like to see an answer to this from AE also. The game is forcing you to load graphics drivers that are old as it seems AMD driver releases go backwards so the newest drivers (3.12) released 12/18/13 will not work with this game since its looking for (3.14). The ATI software doesn't allow you to roll back drivers easily either so If you have updated your drivers can't run the game at all.
EA please respond as people would like to play but can't without your support.

I you want an official repose from EA you'll have to contact a game advisor directly. Unfortunately EA does not monitor or respond directly to this forum as it is for community based solutions.

But I think they will just tell you to contact AMD as EA neither produces nor supports video cards.

I understand but they are the ones that put the limitation msgbox in the game I would assume.

Ended up uninstalling the display driver - which is a rather drastic action as it let to a black screen on the computer, which required a maual reboot in safemode - at which time the computer seemed to self load the 10.4 driver version. Oddly, the 13.9 mobility driver could install over the 10.4 driver version - but not the 11.1 driver version that was there before, and . Thus, I no longer get the driver out of date message. Instead I now get the direct X error - so still cannot play the game.
