NFS Rivals PC isues!

I have downloaded NFS Rivals on my PC via Origin. My computer was once top of the range, a couple of years old now but nevertheless a good computer. This game plays and runs at 30 FPS.... until you get to any kind of loading screen or video. Then, the gameplay is really poor. 

Does anyone know how to stop the laggy gameplay... It's almost as if my PC can't handle the game but I know it can!! The game is so laggy that it is unplayable! Sometimes it drops down to 5-7 FPS ! ☹️
