Visuals and graphics is a 12/10. game play i agree is around 4/10. some of these cars can drift amazingly, but others don't have it what it takes. try out the other cars. i found the EVO is perfect a drifting. Remember this game is still not up-to-date and not majorly patched yet like the xbox and PS4. we still have to wait to find out what they going to do. hopfully they don't start dev a different game, because I will be upset and think that my wallet been ripped from my back pocket. I'm giving this game a chance and hope that it will live up to its statues quotes. Underground 1 and 2 are still #1 in the NFS saga and many agree with me.
I may be pessimistic, but I have feeling that development is just about done for this game beyond solving bugs or releasing DLC. I am pretty sure that EA doesn't care about gameplay considering they gave the ok for the game up to this point. The way the cars move is based on the physics engine, which they really couldn't have picked a worse match for a driving game. Frostbite isn't exactly known for its cutting edge physics simulation in current gen games.
To fix the problem they would have to re build the game from the ground up, so it simply wont happen.

the problem is that the physics engine is literally the foundation of the game. its what the code/scripting is written for. how objects are identified and executed etc. so in order for them to fix the handling, they would either have to code in some more advanced handling characteristics, that would cripple anyones experience, especially if they are already struggling to run the game. or they would have to build the game from the ground up.
Frostbite is the engine that EA has built all of their games off of, i'm not certain if they own it or if its a third party developer tool. regardless, if you look at every single game that has utilized the engine, none of them are exactly physics heavy games... you have a ton of FPS and sports games. EA is good at what they do, and honestly if you look at Star Wars Battlefront and the recnet games they have released, they are some of the most visually impressive games on the market. unfortunately there is a lot more to a driving game that visuals.
Since I now own the game, I will basically just use it as a photoshooting type game for the cars i like. I let my daughter roam around the map and she loves it, so there's that as well. I hate to say it, but this will create some pretty good cars for GTA5 modding community as well.
