1st off, really detailed post, and everything is pretty much right on. This game is good visually, some cars are awesome, but everything else is nothing what a Need For Speed game is. I still have the first NFS on PS1. One game you forgot to mention, Need For Speed World. What I don't understand, is if they were going to do this, why not completely redo World from the ground up? Add to the map, add more customization, a better anti-cheat system, more cars, better graphics like this one. This new one is pretty much a disappointment. But, like a few people have pretty much said, and I think this myself, but the game just came out, I'm sure the dlc's will be added soon, more parts and stuff to customize with. Etc, etc. Only time will tell. Will this game last for years? Rivals, Most Wanted, etc are still alive and kicking in multiplayer. I own the majority of the speed camera spots on Rivals and a lot of the top times in all the races, pursuits, etc. Or, will this game suffer the same demise as World? Over-run with cheaters, (no offence, but to any of you "cheaters" that were on World and here now, DO NOT make any dam hacks/cheats for this game. Because it will end up just like World. GONE!), which was one of the reasons it was shut down. Sorry, but EA has "money". They could've easily redone World. Maybe EA should just hire Rockstar to develop their games. Instead of these "no-name" companies. Who the hell was Quicklime? What games did they make? See? LOL. Anyway, your post is really to-point about the flaws and non-added things to make this game a lot better.
Your MK1 is pretty awesome man. Great job on that. Bet it's fun to drive. An old friend had a late 60's early 70's MG. Thing was beat up as hell looking, but it ran good and was pretty fast. *It was an ex-rally car in Europe. Still had the roll cage, race seats, and safety harnesses.
I appreciate it!
I am looking forward to updates, but I do admit I am skeptical that any real progress can or will be made on the handling of the game. I am guessing EA has already chalked the game up as a success and is moving on to other projects.

Totally agree with your post. EA has a very good record of hyping upcoming games up with visual and only visual. I believe the game will receive one or two more patches/updates which will not address the main problem of the game and then DLCs all the way.
My intelligence is insulted every single time I buy an EA game. This is very likely my last NFS and EA games ever.
