Nissan 180SX Special Event - first tips and tricks

There were considerable number of whines after the last event (BNR34) and the new one seems just about the same - so here are a few tricks for those that thought the event was unbeatable without gold. For most others of you, there is nothing new here ;-)

1) No need for gold, really. If you are a spender and want to have maxed out car (6*), chances are you'll have to spend a fortune on last level blueprints (325 gold for 5 bp)

2) Do not expect that just racing through all the events will be enough to finish it. Repetition is the key here, and always has been. You will need more materials, so use your spare tickets as well.

3) It seems that the main bottleneck are upgrade kits - you will get one per part to get it to green, but if you want to upgrade to blue, you'll have to find those kits in the store. Wait for those available for event cash and not gold, there will be plenty of opportunities. During last few hours of the last day the offer may be more limited. And do not dream of purple parts, you won't be able to upgrade to those during the event.

4) First two or three days you may even have more spare tickets than replays available. There is one trick to use those - failing to win a race, you can get cash but not use a replay. There is a catch though - you'll get the cash only if you reach the finish line, which rules out all the nitro and time-limit races. Event 1/4 is good for this.

5) Sometimes you may fail a race, it just happens. Bear it in mind especially during last few hours of the event, so that you do not need to buy new tickets once you fail your final race with your last ticket.

Bonus 6) Take note that prototype materials are different from materials you normally use in game. Which means when you are receiving loaned car after finishing the event, all the surplus materials in unfinished parts are removed (and cars PR drops accordingly). In case you wonder during the endgame whether to go for a valve to finish nitro level or for an additional flywheel, which will give you higher PR boost, I'd choose valve, unless you need that PR gain to finish the event.

I am confident this is enough for anyone to breeze through the event without problems, feel free to add your comments and suggestions though.

So any idea when 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is coming. The 1st Fastlane event (Nissan 180SX) came a bit closer to the Speedhunters event (NISSAN Skyline BNR34 GTR) considering earlier Special Event intervals. Bit of difficulty to accumulate gold for SE BPs 😉

Re Step #4:

You do get money if you fail to finish the Nitro Rush event (1.2)

Additional:

On the last day don't do the last race till later as once you complete it all other races are closed, so use up extra tickets and play chicken as to how late you leave the final race.

The conversion kits are cheaper for this event as well...12,000 or 12,500 per kit! It was 20,000 per kit for the Skyline.

That does seem right as the Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 is a Classic Sports car while the Nissan 180SX Type X will most likely be a Street car due to its low performance stats.

@TheRealJony The 180SX has a total of 6 stars though- it seems like it would be a sports classic too, just not as good as the R34.

But notice I put "most likely". I didn't say it would definitely be a Street car. 😉

I have 2800 now. Should be able to buy the 40 BPs (325*8 = 2600). 🤔

Well, it seems we won't get enough to reach even 5* without gold. And if the last level would be 40 bps as with BNR34, this may not be enough. As for me, I might buy 5-10 blueprints to upgrade to 5*, if there would be enough materials to upgrade blue parts to 5th level, otherwise I do not plan any buying.

Then you'll have to worry about the next Fastlane Special Event featuring 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. lol

I have to worry too as I have 3,575 Gold. I still haven't recovered 2,600 Gold spent on buying 40 Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR34 blueprints. 😬

I may be able to have 6 star Nissan 180SX Type X, but I may not be able to have a max stars 1969 Dodge Charger R/T. If that happens, then oh well. I can deal with it.

I collected all the blueprints for the BNR34 in the crates over the course of the 14 days...id say we'll be able to do the same thing for the 180SX! BTW, I managed to collect 33 blueprints for the Huracan the past 2 days...took a load of cash though!!!
