No way to operate air ride in photo mode

Air ride in the game is cool and makes the cars look great when you use it, but i cant find any way to operate them in photo mode. There is no way to get a nice picture of the car aired out. I thought first to use air ride then go into photo mode. But whenever i press and hold the button for photo mode, it turns the car back on, thus raising it back up before i can take a decent photo. Pretty disappointed with that. There should be a control in photo mode or a restriction to having only a few buttons be capable of airing the car back up.
