Online Single Player

I've read multiple news releases from Ghost and/or EA stating there will be an online single player mode for "exploring Ventura Bay solo". Unfortunately I have not been able to access such an option in my new game and have continuously have had to deal with "griefers". I've looked into the manual, googled, reddit(ed), but to no avail. I really don't want Alldrive enabled, and I just want to chill and play my new game without the harassment from others. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can accomplish such a task? Note: this is the Xbox One EA Access turned digital download edition. Thanks!
  • Hi @rebl00ded,

To play Need for Speed in solo mode, select "play alone" from the game settings menu within the NFS Network screen. Note: due to server issues this mode was temporarily disabled.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

That option isn't there for many of us. That is why we are trying to find a solution to the problem. @needforspeed on twitter isn't helping at all so we're pretty much stuck on this issue.

After speaking to EA Support this is a bug, from what they say. They don't have an ETA on a fix and we're stuck playing in multiplayer for the time.

I have to echo what @steelersfannum1 mentioned -- Play Alone is not available in my game. The amount of people screwing around and constantly crashing into me or messing with my game has made the past 24 droll. Hope this is figured out sooner rather than later. Thanks.

@Straatford87 any word on when this option will be added back into the game? It appears to have been removed in version 1.02 on both PS4 and Xbox One. I can fully confirm that the menu item you speak of does not exist on either system.

Edit: this also appears to be causing an issue with the Xbox Live Gold and PlayStation Plus requirements for the game. Specifically both are required to play the game at this time.

    Thanks!
