PC - NFS Heat - Game freezes and exits to desktop shortly into most races

I've played through a lot of the game and wasn't having many issues until recently, now whenever I enter a race with higher end cars (300+ performance) the game freezes and exits to the desktop about...

    Installed game today and it crashes my Windows 10 (sad screen of death). Intel 8086K, 32GB DDR4, 1080TI. BF5, Far Cry5, AC Odyssey, Outer Worlds etc all play fine at 4K with max settings, no crashes. When NFS crashes I was able to extract some info caused was DX related: dxgkrnl.sys. I've re-ran Prime95 and Intel Burn test to make sure my system is stable while watching CPU temps, everything is completing with no errors. Installed latest nvidia driver - no changes. So I believe at this point that this is something in the game coding that crashes machines.
