There is one, small hope mate.
Go to Origin
Right click on Need for speed in games library
Show game details
Click the "cloud storage" tab, (upper left)
On the right is "restore save"
Check the time stamp under that button, with any luck it might get you some of your game progress back.
I tried that after it happened, and no luck.
According to EA Support on Twitter i might not even be able to get my speed points reset, so my game is now completely useless.
I have 700k speedpoints and 0% completion. By the time i get to 100% completion there would be no way my friends would ever be able to catch up. I bought this game so i could play against friends, now it's just a waste of money.
