[PC] Error code 00010001
So I bought Need for Speed yesterday through Origin, downloaded the game and installed it. However, when I try to play it, it keeps saying that I'm not logged in to the ea server and that I should check my internet connection, error code: 00010001. I know there is nothing wrong with my connection, plus I tried the EA solutions regarding internet problems. Doesn't work. I know the problem is not with my router, because I always used to be able to sign in to EA servers with my Xbox 360. I've added the game and origin to my firewall exclusion, opened up all the required portals on my computer. Nothing has worked so far. PLEASE HELP! The game was expensive enough, so I want to be able to play it and not let it be a waste of money.
If you're getting the message that you are unable to connect then it is very specific to something on either your system or your network blocking the connection. If you double-checked the settings on your system then you cal also try looking at a firewall or UPNP settings on your router.
