[PC] Race results bug

Today I played some drag races vs AI and noticed a weird issue. My AI oppponent and I reached the finish line almost at the same time. Next, the Drag Results Screen shows that I've lost and came 2nd BUT then I get my rewards and the next screen says that I won!

PS:
I know, it's an always online game and when the ping time can be high, things happen... But (again) I'm sure the game state can be computed exactly once and kept in just one place such as a game server (or client). So this is apparently can be fixed by devs.

    Hi,

    Since I haven't seen further reports of this issue yet, I will keep an eye out and try to test this myself as well--do note that latency seems like a likely cause for this to occur.

    Thank you for the reply.
    Of course, it is the latency. I might be wrong as well but as I see it, there should be just one finish line in the race and only one possible order of cars crossing it (in the online game too, I mean).
