Not being able to use these functions is caused by connection issues or privacy settings. The connection issues could be occurring on our servers in which case they would be temporary, or they are on your home network in which case they persist.

First, make sure that you've properly set your Privacy Settings via the Settings menu in-game:

Additionally, you could try the following:

• Make sure the time and date is correctly set on your system
• Reset Internet Explorer Settings
• Disable proxy settings ( make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server )
• Clear Origin Cache Data
• Reset the Windows Host File
• Reboot your computer. Now right-click Origin and select Run as administrator
• If still unresolved, please do a clean boot

Lastly, if you're internet connection does not have enough bandwidth available to process the upload and download of data within Need for Speed then you might also encounter this issue.
