Tried to play the game from my SSD instead of my HDD. Guess what changed? You're right! Nothing! ^^

On a scale from 1-10 on my surprised meter, this hit a balloon!

I made some screens from the places where the drops are damn extreme.

http://abload.de/img/nfs142013-11-2719-51-khbrk.png
And those two positions are about here: http://abload.de/img/nfs142013-11-2719-50-helgz.png
Next:
http://abload.de/img/nfs142013-11-2720-03-xrita.png
And on the map: http://abload.de/img/nfs142013-11-2720-03-1icui.png
If you drive to the left directly next to that ship the framerate is just pain in the...head...definitly in the head...and nothing else ^^Next:

This one is interesting. The Framerate makes a huge drop if you take the right way, but only if you drive in the direction you can see on the screenshot. If you COME from the direction you can see on that screenshot, the framerate still drops, but ist nearly 10FPS better than the direction you see at the screenshot.
Next one:

And on the map: http://abload.de/img/nfs142013-11-2720-08-3ejw7.png
And the last one:
http://abload.de/img/nfs142013-11-2720-09-88k74.png
And the map: http://abload.de/img/nfs142013-11-2720-09-i5kyf.pngThat does not mean that the framerate only drops here. The 30 FPS doesn't get hold nearly everywhere in the game. There are some places in the far east where the framerate is much better. But I can't hold 30FPS constantly anywhere.
These are only some places where the drops are just...crazy!- 12 years ago
Nice screens, chaz0r.
It will help the devs fixing this. (I hope)
Btw, what antialiasing do you use?
SweetFX or resolution scaling?
I don't use real AA. I use 2x Downsampling which improves the missing AA a lot and also improves the textures.
You can do that in the command line with -Render.ResolutionScale 1.5
If your PC is strong enough you can even try 2.0 instead of 1.5. That would be rendered 4K resolution.
(And no...the Framerate and FPS drops are exactly the same without downsampling) ^^

If you drive to the left directly next to that ship the framerate is just pain in the...head...definitly in the head...and nothing else ^^I have tested this slightly today after being patched, and I can at least report that the framerate has definitely improved in most areas, I am running a GTX 660, so maybe they just fixed the framerate when working with Nvidia cards?
That being said, there is still a major framerate drop area as mentioned by chaz0r above, the link is:

The odd thing is, the framerate, for me anyways, only drops when you are looking in the direction as the screenshot and driving in that direction (Northwest) through the area, it drops to about 24 and slow motion. If you turn around after driving through the village (Southeast) then the framerate is fine, at a constant 30 for me.
This still shows that the framerate is tied to the speed of the game, so that hasn't been fixed yet, although I don't think it can. Also, the ability to pause is still not there, in offline mode. Just having the game beside me and writing this post I was busted while just sitting there, I wasn't even driving! The cops were not after me before this either, why the hell are they ALWAYS after me, even if I'm not speeding and parked! This was a bad design choice, and you can read the many reviews on Metacritic about not being able to pause (and yes I realize that many of the other 0 reviews are trolls, but not being able to pause a racing game is a legitimate concern).
Thank you for trying to fix the issues EA, but still a bit more work is needed, and I think since I at least pre-ordered the game (as many did, giving you money on an untested product) and many others have done extensive testing for you for FREE, you should, in good faith, continue to work on the issues and improve this game, since it could be a decent game with more work. Please!

@ scrble,
"but still a bit more work is needed" That's being very generous! While I think the concept of the game is very exciting the execution is fundamentally flawed. I think the design decisions made early on in the development of the title guarantees that this game will never meet it's full potential.
