[PS3] NFS hot pursuit , START button not working

Hello,

I just bought and downloaded a copy of NFS Hot Pursuit from the Playstation Network. I properly installed in on my Playstation 3 and the game start like normally, but when it reaches the main menu, with the phrase " Please press START button for starting the game" , no one of the button on my wired joypad are working.

It is not a joypad problem since downloaded demos, and with other normal Disc games, every button is working totally fine.

Anybody can help me? Thank you very much!

    I don't think this is a problem with the download. Issues such as the one you are experiencing can usually be traced back to a damaged controller (even if it works in other games).

    Can you please report back to me if you were able to get into the game using another controller?

    SOLVED: seems my USB wired joypad was not compatible with this game, but by buying a new original PS3 wireless joypad, now everything seems fine.

    Hi! I'm thinking of buying a PS3 just so that I can play Hot Pursuit online again like in the old days. Can you confirm if there's still enough active players nowadays on the PS3 to find full lobbies and play together? I don't want to buy a console and a game just to end up finding empty rooms! Thanks!
