PS3 NFS Most Wanted Freezing

I seem to have the problem in pursuit mode. Every 10- 20 mins it locks up and I have to reboot my system. Hope there is a fix soon. Other than that, it's a great game.

im having problems with just online i go online and it keeps freezing my ps3 i had got a new disc, downloaded the game from ps store deleted my game save and restarted my game and it still freezes my system i really want this fixed.

Wow - a full week and no response from EA... not even an acknowledgement of the problem... nice work guys...

Okay Gents-  

  Here's something to try - go into the main playstation sceen (outside of the game) -> Game-> game data.  I deleted the data along with data from other games I no longer play.  My theory was that there was a bad sector on the system hard drive it was trying to access.  Don't worry, this doesn't delete your save-game data.  I then put the game in, and it proceeded to download the 1.01 patch again - but now it's saving it at a different place on the hard drive (since the data from other games was also deleted).

So far, success.  Played for about an hour last night, and it didn't lock up - before that it was once every 10 minutes or so.

One other variable - during the process, I noticed a fingerprint smudge on the disc - cleaned that off mid-way through this process - it's also possible that it was trying to read that part of the disc and failing.

Anyways, two things to definitely try.  Good luck.

BTW, anyone else notice how the online system actively encourages douchbaggery, like for smashing into cars waiting at the meet-up spot?   just an observation...

I tried what gnarkill9 said but no changes.  just keeps freezing

Did any of you activated Concours? If you did the only way to play multiplayer properly is by joining at the intermission screen or let them have it at least 1/2 events completed, if they have more than that get ready to have your game freezing at the results screen.

_About the whole concours thing, i have a solution if u don't want to gamble on joining in a game during intermission or half way through the SpeedList.

Step 1) Select Multiplayer

Step 2) Press the cancel button when you see the list of how many players you're about to join

Step 3) go into Multiplayer again

If done right, you will only see the original loading screen (Tire tracks showing pictures of vehicles)

BUT BE WARNED, doing anything to leave Multiplayer will make you have to go through the process again, (switching to your friends server wont effect this) 

I am having this problem also on my PS3. It will just freeze while driving. The NFS menu system in the game still responds PS3 Menu system still responds, but the gameplay is frozen.

I thought this was an harddrive problem, so I had an extra new 60Gig SSD HD and replaced the PS3 original HD.

Same problems, game is still freezing.

Also, when I quit the game, the PS3 will beep 3 times and then requires a reboot.

System Info:

First Generation PS3 Version 4.30

Game: Retail Disk

PS3 is not overheating - cleaned regurlarly

Freezes online or offline play

NFS Most Wanted is the only game that freezes (I have Burnout Paradise City no troubles)

Me and others believe it has something to do with the online pass this issue is affecting ps3 disc and dlc. I've repleyed about freeze ups what it did to me and is still happening so I avoid speedlists in airport where I lost data twice and a friend once. It's not affecting my 71 or concours 71 still got my points and cars and mods they just don't stay on when u change out and back on some cars. Plus my 100% offline disappeared with all gameplay, billboards and such which restart every new game plus my 290hrs gameplay now shows 8hrs.  Don't know if maybe it has to do with concours??
