PS3 screen resolution: 1080i?
Why does the game box say 1080i but the game runs in 720? How do you get it into 1080?

The game seems to default to 720p **UNLESS** you force your PS³ to output 1080i ONLY.
Just amend the settings in your XMB>Display Settings>Video Output Settings to remove the 720p mode...
as to whether it's worth it, I'm not even sure - bad aliasing is still evident - though it does seem to run just as well.
Give it a try.
Should be using 720p, has a higher MAXIMUM frame rate, especially if your TV has an intelligent frame creation software built-in, looks better, and from the distance you'll be playing at, won't ruin the visuals (which is WHY, PS3 defaults to 720p, because 720p>1080i for action packed gaming). If 720p looks blurry, turn up the sharpness, sharpness can change everything...or nothing, depends on the game. I've always enjoyed 720p on TV screens, it's a choice of taste.
