Thanks for your response but really it is not such a big chance that other people are not running the same graphics card as me - the R9 390X is a very popular card and I would actually be surprised if there are not lots of people running this card.
With regards to step 1, of course I am running at the native resolution and I have the settings on for native resolution too.
I have to have vsync enabled - I get horrible tearing without it.
Thanks again for your response but it doesn't really help me in any way - there are a lot of settings and I don't want to have to go through and check the many thousands of combinations which is why I asked if anyone has a good settings profile already.
