Hello SammieValencia83,
If your on PS4 to remove the body kit you press the triangle button. It does tell you on the bottom right corner how to do it. I think you have to move to the body kit and then you can remove it. I don't have the '65 Mustang so I can't say whether it's a bug or not though.
