You can get BPs for the Hoonicorn by drifting a lot in missions. I've never participated in the special event when it took place, but now I own the car. Just don't expect to be able to max out the car so easily. For someone like me who started at zero BPs, I ended up 5 BPs short to make it to 3 stars.
Now that you have the car will you be able to participate in the Hoonicorn event should it come back? Or will the game lock you out of the event being that you already have the car, despite the fact that you never participated in the prior Hoonicorn event? because if that's the case I think it would make more sense to let my Hoonicorn BP's accumulate until after they have the event again. So just trying to figure out what I should do

@AMP727 My guess is you can't participate in the Xtreme Championship special event if you already have the Ford Mustang Hoonicorn from completing Missions.
For example, there's two special events that features the Jaguar F-Type. One was Lunar New Year special event and the second is Fastlane special event.
I participated in the Lunar New Year special event and got the Jaguar F-Type after completing the special event.
Right now, there's a Fastlane special event that features the Jaguar F-Type. I can't participate in it since I already have the Jaguar F-Type from the previous special event.
