Please follow our connection troubleshooting articles:

In most cases this means that you will have to add an exception for NFS to your firewall and anti-virus. If you are unsure how to do that, try temporarily disabling those programs. Alternatively, you could do this via a clean boot, but this is not always effective.
- Anonymous10 years agoCan you refer me to an article that details how to do this? The router is by xfinity. I spent (no joke) 30 hours trying to get it working.

This is the general article:
Steps are being explained in more detail, here:
A step-by-step guide for your router can be found here:
- http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/Need_for_Speed_Most_Wanted/default.htm -- all you have to do is select your router from the list and follow the steps.
- Anonymous10 years agoOk I will give this a shot. However, I will also ask: the articles you sent apply to the EA network. Is it possible there is connection error with psn also?
Also I think it is relevant to note that the PlayStation 3 that was older had the connection issue whereas the newer PS3 did not have a problem. - Straatford8710 years ago

That is possible indeed. The ports in the articles I linked are also for the Playstation Network, opening those should resolve any connection errors there.
