Thanks for letting us know.
I have tried everything but failed Maybe this will work How do you wipe out all the game safe info?
Navigate to C:\Users\*YOUR NAME*\Documents\Criterion Games\Need for Speed(TM) Hot Pursuit and rename both files to something else. Example, Save.bak and config.NFS11Save.bak and start the game over from the first.
This worked for me. Not to happy that there were only generic "answers" to all the requests for help. I would respect EA a little more if they just came out and said, "We don't care. We already have your money." At least that would be honest of them.
Thanks, deleting the game's user data worked for me. In my case, my symptom was that the game would only show a black screen (and no audio) when trying to start it. I initially was trying to start it on a 4K TV - after deleting the game's user data, I then started it successfully on my 2K monitor.
Also note, I had a backup copy of my game's progress. I restored only those files (not the game configuration itself) after successfully starting the game on my 2K monitor, and I was still able to start the game again after. I'll try to start it again on my 4K TV later.
Update: works fine with the 4K TV too, so it wasn't the TV or resolution that caused the problem in the first place. I do have a new unrelated problem where once I plug my steering wheel in, the game crashes when it tries to go to the game's main menu. Everything before that works fine. This steering wheel worked fine in this game in 2019. But as I said, it's a completely different issue now.
