Re: Need for Speed: ProStreet

I finally was able to install NFS Prostreet on both of my laptops that run off Windows 7 Ultimate and Windows 7 Home Premium.  After the very lengthy install, and with the Microsoft Sidewinder FF USB Wheel attached, the menu structure was in continuous scroll mode I couldn’t select an option with the keyboard, or mouse or wheel.  This phenomenon was present on both machines. In both cases, I calibrated the Controller within Windows and all functions and buttons work as expected with the calibration program, but not NFS Pro Street.  With the Win 7 Ultimate, I put it in XP mode and reinstalled NFS Prostreet.  This time I received an incompatible with operating system error.  I have the correct drivers for the MS Wheel installed and have calibrated it, but still NFS is in continuous scroll mode.  Is there a patch for NFS Prostreet that I can install so the my wheel will work?  Further, I was able to pull up under the Controller Option, the MS Sidewinder FF Wheel, so that would imply that it was at one time a supported product.  It seems that a patch for NFS ProStreet for the Win7/8 platform would be appropriate and forthcoming.

Also, My NFS ProStreet package came with NFS Carbon, but I have either lost or never received documentation (and activation code)  I have the original disk.  Is there any way to get the activation code?

Thanks,

D. B. Klos
