I see, if you want to install the game then you'll need a separate hard drive on Xbox 360 Slim platforms.

Need for Speed Rivals on the Xbox 360 requires an Xbox 360 Hard Drive with 3GB of storage space for a mandatory installation of game disc content. you will be prompted to perform this installation the first time time you boot up your game.
You cannot play your game without this installation, nor can it be installed on flash memory sticks, or internal flash memory--such as the internal memory of the Xbox 360 Slim, or 4GB model.Hard Drives are available and sold separately for the Xbox 360 Slim/4GB, Arcade, and Core consoles.
I think it's kind of messed up that Microsoft won't give you a refund but when you buy the digital download for said game mine as well only gets to 80% and I have one of the original Xbox 360s not the slim and I think it's kind of messed up to have someone have to go out and buy a separate external hard drive after they've already bought the game I think that should be fixed maybe an old platform but it shouldn't matter because honestly I'm about 40 bucks light in my wallet thanks to that not being able to download because need for speed most wanted does it as well
