Re: NFS most wanted 2012 - How can I reset game progress & start from zero?

You'd probably just go into your documents and delete your save file.

But what if you save it in the cloud?

  • For PC

Disable cloud storage then delete you save files found in MY Documents/Criterion Games/Need For Speed(TM) Most Wanted\Save

launch the game and play for a little while then exit the game re enable cloud storage and launch the game again

a small dialog box will appear SAVES NOT SYNCED and will give you 2 options to choose from

cloud save or local save choose LOCAL save and from then on cloud storage will sync with your new saved game

@nfsmwluvr23: Cloud storage is located in the cloud, it is automatically synchronized with your local storage if you have not changed this setting.

    Local storage is located in %userprofile%\Documents\Criterion Games\Need For Speed(TM) Most Wanted ; %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Origin ; %appdata%\Origin and in %userprofile%\Pictures\Criterion Games\Need For Speed(TM) Most Wanted .

I have the same problem deleted save folder twoice disable cloud save and i still have 5.985.230 speedpoints and unlocked most wanted list also i deleted cloud save files from folder i don't know what else to do when i press alt+f4 play hours 293 hours for that reason i want to reset everything autolog, security gates, milestones, speed camera, billboards and online speedpoints.

    Platform Pc

    Origin Account ID:ChristosGRNikaia

  • I have spent hours on live help with EA to avail. My issue was I originally played on Xbox 360 linked to my Origin account. But for some reason even EA dont understand, My SP carried over to PS3 AND PC.

Even with cloud saves switched off in the game preferences and the Origin client settings it still happens.

EA even erased every mention and record of NFS from my Origin account and unlinked my PSN and Xbox accounts. Even re downloading (when it was "On the House") would still somehow give me 2 million+ SP.

The ONLY solution is to either pull out the ethernet cable or the best way, use a BAT file to disable your network adaptor then launch the game. NEVER let it connect to the internet. BTW firewalls wont stop it retrieving the data either.

You can then play through single player offline then reconnect to play multiplayer (if anybody still does).

Not the ideal solution but hope it helps.

I still have this issue where I have pratically the entire game 100%ed, 40 million SP and all cars unlocked, all speedlists unlocked, and all mw races unlocked. I reset save file exactly as told, but it didn't reset much besides what mods i had and it start me in the porsche 911 instead of the car i was driving before.

  • I have found a work around

Put the EA app into offline mode by clicking on the hamburger menu on the top left of the window
Delete the criteron folder in  your "My Documents"
Launch the game from the offline EA app

you will not be able to access the online features but you will at least be able to play at 0%
