Re: Regarding Port forwarding ( IPv6 )

@Yumi2185

Hi (again),

If you are running into issues with the port forwarding itself then you can always try enabling UPnP instead (you cannot enable both at the same time). Below you can find a picture of where you can find this option on your router:

http://screenshots.portforward.com/routers/Technicolor/TC7200/Advanced_Options.jpg

On that same picture you will see a Firewall menu option. Make sure that the firewall is disabled.

Note: I actually think that I've got the same router on my home connection. My ISP is Virgin (previously UPC). I am at a loss as to why you would still be experiencing frequent disconnects if your settings are correct. Are you perhaps using a wireless connection? This type of connection can be unstable depending interference from other devices in your environment. Or, if you are using a wired connection then you could try testing another ethernet cable.

If the above tips don't help you then I can check my settings at home to see if they differ from mine. And lastly, are you getting any error messages when you get disconnected? Does the game crash? Perhaps it is hardware related in which case I would like to investigate a dxdiag if you would be so kind to upload that with your reply.

    Hi Tom,

Thank you again for your reply.

The screenshot helped to find the section, unfortunately my router only has the WAN Blocking option. As for my firewall I have Firewall on "low" and IPv6 Firewall on "on".

Since Im on PS4 I dont know if the DXdiag will help, at least from what I understand from the link you provided.

I am using a LAN connection (1000 Mbps) so I could replace the cable. I am playing other games online though so that would be a very specific problem then .

Also the fact that it is always crashing during the same cutscene.

I will reinstall the game and see if that helps. otherwise I guess I should call my ISP 🤨 which is always fun 😉 .

As for error messages I get :

Your connection to the game server has been lost.

You will be returned to the Need for Speed Network Menu

And when I try to start Alldrive again :

    A Network error has occured

As I mentioned this always happens when I initiate the Meet Amy at the garage Mission. I can savely load and drive around in the game without a problem up until I start the cutscene.

Might it just be that the servers are more difficult to reach from Europe ?

    Hi,

I got a bit confused for a moment so you can indeed ignore the dxdiag. However, what I would recommend to try and set the Firewall setting from low to off, which is what I have at home as well.

I did some further investigation into IPv6 for you since you are unable to port forward with it currently. Apparently you can contact your internet provider to roll you back to IPv4 because have come across reports in some of our other games where players stated that they couldn't connection via IPv6.

If you happen to have a spare ethernet cable lying around then it wouldn't hurt to try that. Though as you mention it does seem unlikely since you are able to play other games without issues. Note that the reason for your disconnect during the same scene in the game is most likely because that is where your connection check fails.

Let me know how it goes.. 🙂
