@master2g Yes, I'm really enjoying the DB5 as well, and it's ironic that the first color I chose to paint mine is almost identical to yours! LOL - it seemed like a good British retro color I guess.
I didn't realize you can resize the wire wheels - that's awesome! I saw them but didn't buy because I'm using the DB5 as my off-road build. I've decided to finish the game with the DB5 as my main off-roader. Hats off to Ghost for being mental enough to give us a DB5 and allow us to turn it into an off-road monster! Can you imagine stuffy Aston Martin purists turning over in their graves at the thought of "ruining" a million dollar classic this way? LOL - That's why my license plate reads "MPROPER." It's, as the British say, a "proper car," but it's been turned into something very "improper."
It's pretty bad performance-wise, can't even compete with most other 399 cars let alone take on the top ones. That being said I'd have to go with no, it's not worth having. If this was Car Mechanic Simulator it might've been worth it for the customization, but this is a racing game.
There is a variety of other cars beside the Aston to race with and every one wants to race with the beetle or Regera anyways. So the DB5 would not be " worth it " unless those people that have to win and be # 1 could use it to beat every one else easily. The only car that seems to be worth it from what i see in speed list and other post is the Regera or beetle. The fastest 2.. My 2 cents so we agree to disagree.
Payback is free roam, racing, jumps, speed traps and customization so its more then just a racing game. Thats the great thing about it. there is some thing in it for every ones tastes.
So saying that its is worth it for the customization like you say.
As far as I know the RSR is the best car in the game performance wise, not the Regera. Either way it's one thing to be able to beat the best cars and another to be able to compete with them at all, the DB5 can't do either. Plus I wasn't talking just about the Race speedlists, it's pretty bad as an Off-Road car as well. As a Runner car it's good as long as you use it for pursuits in singleplayer, for Runner speedlists it's even worse than Race speedlists.
Also you are aware that you need to race in order to be able to afford all those cars and customization, right? There's only so much you can scrape by through shipments each day.
Yeah i get that part but I am saying that there is more to it then just racing. Sure you have to do events to gather money but its not like one is limited to racing all the time. Race some , cruise around some, run some events or spend hours in the garage customizing your ride . Its a list of things to do .
I have the RSR and the Regera but did not put them up against each other so cant say if the RSR is better or not. Been awhile since I looked into the speed lists lately ether so cant say if there is time posted in top spots by the RSR. I haven't tried the DB5 in any events thus far and like i said i haven't been looking at the speed list so i cant fairly comment on the performance ranking of the car in them.
The DB 5 to me is worth it just for the awesome amount of things you can do with it in the customization. It has more options to do then the other rides.
As an avid Car guy, it's nice to see the DB5 Car on the internet and in person.
Mind you these are from the internet, but I have been to many car shows and have seen this car close up.
You gotta be impressed with such a classic car.

Yeah it is awesome !! and I didn't know at first ether but when i discovered that we could and the awesome tire choices I was yelling praise loudly to Ghost. No one was around but Im sure they heard me lol.
I know right , the car has some sweet parts for all classes . LOL, perfect plate for the off road version indeed. 🙂
