ROAD TURN TO DIRT AND CAR GETS STUCK

I have to agree with mightybeast this bug is so ridiculous and a show stopper that ruins the whole experience for me. The road will suddenly disappear and a dirt path will appear with the car being stuck and your unable to do anything but open the task manager and end the game. Often I have to reset. 

I've repaired through origin 

I've un-installed and re-installed it and done countless possible solutions that haven't worked.

In short, this bug should be dealt with since why are you still selling a game that has a serious bug that ruins peoples experience. 

Sorry for the venting but this bug happens to rear it's ugly head 95% of the time i am ingame. Is n4s rivals still getting updates/fixes? (please answer this question if you could) since this bug seriously needs dealt with. I purchased this game to get the great n4s experience not have it ruined by a bug that's essentially a show stopper and stops any enjoyment. 

Thanks for listening and hopefully some useful info and/or solutions can be forth coming.

[b]edit:[/b] Another side affect of this bug is that because it crashes (freezes) and you have to end the game via task manager you loose any of the objectives from the speed list that you completed and SP which really doesn't give much reason to play. 

please patch this problem through origin so we can enjoy our great game thanks EA/Ghost,

 bought this game just this week and it happened to me like 5 times already. I also hope it will be fixed but when i look for possible solutions i see topics from 2013 so i guess i might just have to get used to it 🤔

@Caprica--S6X , @StevenMoza , @piggysnakes , @19NLX78 , @Darius-4000-xxx , what version of the game are you all running? The x86 or x64 version? If you're not sure, look in the Rivals properties tab. Depending on your system, run one or the other. If you have a lower to middle end system, run the x86. When this happens, do you bring up the task manager as soon as it happens? Wait a few seconds and see if it's goes into a "Host Migration" screen. Not sure if you've experienced this or not, but whenever a host of a session leaves, the server will assign another player as the host. Will happen in the middle of a race, being chased by cops, or chasing racers, etc. No given warning. You will all of a sudden lose control of your car, game will freeze, graphics issues can occur, etc., because the host player left, the server has to collect all information from remaining players, save the current progress of each player, and reset the host. then place all players still in session back to where they were. Depending on your systems specs, network ping times, your internet provider speed, it can take longer. If that's not the issue, try adjusting your graphic settings. Go to the lowest settings and work up to find the best setup for your game. If none of that works, try doing a clean boot and then run the game:

You'll have to go through trial and error, "rinse and repeat" to figure out what's causing it. You can also add a dxdialog notepad doc to a reply post and one of teh EA moderators on here can get it to the tech team to look over, or someone on here with the right knowledge can look through it and help further:

Hope that helps all of you out on this. I have a higher end system, and I've experienced some of these issues when migrate happens. On top of that, not sure if you all are on PC or console, but this game wasn't optimized too well for PC. Some of the dev team need to play this game on a lower end computer. One that's at/just above system requirements for this game and see a lot of the bugs/glitches that are in it. Come up with a patch to fix them. Majority of GHOST team are from Criterion anyway. Right? Anyway, hope a solution can be found for you all.

me too I also get this quite often road disappears and I to have too do ctrl alt and del just to get out of it and I loose everything I have earned in that game which is very annoying , its happens way too much these glitches ,

and I also get I have disconnected a lot even when I have not it can happen sometimes as soon as I enter the game or quite a few times while playing the game I have had it where it has said I have disconnected 6 times within an hour of game play its most annoying and frustrating when doing chases and it happens ,

this game game has been around now since 2013 and its now 2016 you would have thought they would have got there finger out and sorted these glitches out by now

the amount of times it disconnects and then says migrating host is unbelievable and tracks roads disappearing and then coming to a sudden stop and not being able to do anything apart from pressing ctrl alt del to exit the game , this is not a very well planned out game on EA's behalf

this is no way to run a game site its an absolute DISGRACE EA

if the disconnection excuse is because someone has left the game well that's not my problem it theres so why should the rest of us suffer disconnection migrating host ,

If someone wants to leave the game tuff on them just don't make the rest of us suffer by loosing out on races or chases and even sometimes the money we have earned

so who ever programmed this game well what a stupid idea that was

ea don't seem to be interested in sorting it out at all 

to be honest if I have looked into this game first and found out about these glitches then I would not has wasted money buying it in the first place

I have also tried it in x86 version and 64bit version and still the problems persist

AND what's with some others players car juddering and bouncing all over the screen which makes it almost impossible the catch when doing chases they can zap me but its near impossible to catch and zap them is it because they are on a rubbish pc and there pc is not up to running this game properly , well maybe if that's the case then maybe they should stick to playing noughts and crosses or as some call it tic tac toe you know the games there pc is capable of running

I know its not my pc as its a 

8 core amd fx 4.0mhz , liquid cooled , 16gb hyperx ram 1866mhz , 4gb radeon r7 370 graphics , asus sabretooth 990fx 2.0 motherboard , everything in it is high end ,

and its not my modem as that too is also high end upload and download speed

yes the new surprises are just lately the car I am driving looses control and I can not steer left or right does this for a few seconds then is fine then not long after does it again ,

and sometimes when I log into the game my car has changed back to the original car I started the game with and not my won car when i log out of the game

road turning to dust is happening more and more frequently and I can not do nothing apart from exit the game

and on overwatch there's never any cars on the map anymore

THIS GAME IS GETTING WORSE DAY BY DAY AND EA SEEM TO BE DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT

THIS GAME IS ABSOLUTE TRASH AND ITS A TOTAL RIP OFF

need for speed world had its glitches so fair enough with it being free

but need for speed rivals I paid for so I would not of expected any glitches at all but it has too many ,

well I definitely will not be buying anymore games from EA if this atrocious poorly programmed and poorly designed game is anything to go by
