Salvage points

What is the significance of salvage mode in parts storage? How does it work, and what can we do with the points we earn from scrapping unused and used parts?

    @gs421 with the scrap points you can buy parts (ie engine/turbo/gearbox etc) and bps from the chop shop that you see on the main screen

    Where is the shop located on the map I'm level 29 and it's still not on my map can't find any info on the location of it says by level 25 its unlocked?
