Steering Sensitivity??
I find it nearly impossible to steer the cars in this game. I've played every PC-based Need For Speed title back to the first one so I'm used to adjusting to new physics but this I can't get used to...
I got this too as my sim city freebie. But it is unplayable.
I have a logitech G27 which does not work, that is to say it registers my actions, but there is not even a default mapping provided to steer left or right...
So i then spent some time setting all these buttons only to figure out
(it even works better in some non racing games, go figure)
So i then tried playing with my keyboard which is impossible because of the input lag and i cannot control the steering sensitivity... ( not to mention ridiculous considering i have a G27)
I'm a racing game enthusiast and the game looks great, I'm just not able to play it.
Great looking game, unable to play it, isn't this why i got this game in the first place?
You get what you payed for i presume...
Hello, I got the same game as a gift from EA because of Simcity (which is excellent by the way but the 'ONLY' online option and the small regions destroys the whole experience for me), also I own the G27 wheelset.
Regarding the game is not a simulation racer but an arcade, so you should buy a controller which is intended for these games, all brands have, I am currently using the XBox360 for PC. Not so happy with it, as I am trying to find a way or a software for adjusting sensitivity and steering.
It's a shame this still isn't fixed, if anyone is familiar with the Need For Speed franchise they would know that a wheel is always preferred with these games, although i will admit that this is just a shoddy Burnout clone (thanks Criterion!).
It wouldn't be that much of an issue (cause it's like Burnout) were it not for the fact that they promised good wheel support http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNOhWzx65jI it's around the 39:40 mark, someone asks about control input.
