Support for DirectInput gamepads on PC

The PC reveal video showed that several different steering wheels will be supported but it only showed a single gamepad, which was an Xbox pad. I think it is also important that various gamepads are supported, specifically also gamepads that use the DirectInput technology. These pads worked in every single NFS game from 1997 to 2012. Then in Rivals they suddenly didn't work anymore. I usually play racing games on PC with a gamepad called Logitech Dual Action but in Rivals it didn't work, so I had to switch to an Xbox pad. That was very disappointing. Will my Logitech gamepad work again in the new NFS for PC? I think if you can even make steering wheels work, then you should also be able to add support for more gamepads than just the Xbox pad.
