How about a Type-S that's actually a Type-S? Sure it had Type-S badges, but it had unpainted side skirts (like a base) 160 horsepower (like a base) and a super low redline (like a base). I dunno why DC5s constantly get dumped on in games, but they definitely could use some shine.
I agree about the DC2 ITR though. I'm actually really surprised it didn't make the cut.
- Anonymous8 years agoI swear the Type-S is always crapped on. But when you think about it that 2002 Type-S was the start of a legacy engine that is known in the top 10 engines to ever come out of Japan. The k20a2 was the start of the K series dynasty and it needs more love. It pisses me off that the Type-S was beaten easily by the 2000 Civic Type R which had a b series engine in it in need for speed 2015. And as for the DC2 ITR I hope they give you the option between the USDM and JDM front bumpers. Honestly, there's so much lacking in the Honda/Acura customization in NFS. There wasn't even a type R spoiler or Mugen front bumper for the RSX so I couldn't replicate my car, but they had the J's racing front bumper which is way less popular.

@144sxKTM This thread blew up haha. But yeah the DC5 gets crapped on often. In NFS2015 it underperformed. In the Forza games (with the exception of the Mugen DC5) the maximum tire width is too narrow for the car to be competitive compared to the lighter FF cars. The visual customization for it almost always seems to be lacking too. I have an '06 Type-S so the closes thing I ever got to my actual car was the ITR in Gran Turismo 5 and 6. We'll see though.
- Anonymous8 years agoAgreed! I've had two DC5's, an 05 and an 06. I was so excited when Forza had the 05-06 bumpers/side skirts vs the 02-04, but they didn't change the headlights. What's the point!?
I just started playing Need for Speed 2015 a week ago (thanks to ea's free play). I didn't even bother with the DC5 ☹️
That said, I started playing NFS when the original came out, and I am super excited for Payback, but I hope there's some love for the DC5.- Anonymous8 years ago

The 2000 EK Type r was faster and had more customization. They need to step up there game for us DC5 owners.
