TMX wheel

So I have a TMX thursmaster wheel NOT pro one, it says the nfs heat game supports it on the list but when I launch the game the controls are all messed up and it doesn't let me steer, the map button is the gas and shift up buttons are nitro, it gives me no option to change the b buttons and nothing happens to steering when I steer the wheel, can one of u help
