@GK3512 Sounds like it went right over your head. The games that have sold well are the ones that involve customization and cars. Need for Speed as of currently is about that and sorry to break it to you, that wont change.

@XGCSith Yes they sold well, but they aren't suitable to the full history of NFS.The series started without custom, and if they go back to roots like months ago's words said, then a cannonball style new NFS is the style they should do this time.

@GK3512Except that's not what they are implying. Need for Speed, as of the last 10 years or so, have been about customization, cars and police chases. If anything, they are talking about going back to the UG/MW roots. They are not talking about a new Hot Pursuit and it wasnt explained that way. Instead cherry picking, read the whole thing.
They said without cars and customization, Need for Speed, as we know it, doesnt exist. They are well aware of what you and two other people are saying. They also said there are many different aspects to what NFS is. They are not stupid, they are well aware of the different type of NFS games. They just arent making another Hot Pursuit, like you are hoping.
- 6 years ago@XGCSith But they said without cars/custom the NFS failed to be what we know today, also considering back in NFS2015 they stated blackbox games are the essence of NFS(Which clearly doesnt include most classic style cannonball NFS),and if they want to celebrate the full history of NFS,at least accept it completely. You say 10 years of past NFS have been about custom,so HP2010,a 9 years old game maybe isnt a NFS at all?As it didnt have any custom whatsoever. The Need For Speed back in 1994 was the game started NFS,not a 9 years later UG1 from Blackbox, and that didnt have custom at all. It's been 9 years since HP2010,the last real classic style NFS without either story or custom. And that's longer than the gap between HP2010 and HP2,which was the end of first era NFS.UG/MW was a great change.UG1 was 9 year later and MW05 was 2 more years later than TNFS in 1994.If they celebrate 25th rather than 16th or 14th anniversary. The right choice is go back to the classic era when NFS was The Cannonball Run of racing games rather than Fast Furious of racing games.I accept Blackbox games are popular, but treating those games as root of NFS is surely a false statement.BB wasnt even making a NFS until HP2 PS2,the end of classic era.So clearly they just forget the real root of NFS and just turn NFS into a trend chaser.
