What is causing the high CPU and GPU usage in Need For Speed Heat?

Hi,

I've been playing Need For Speed Heat for a week or so, and just recently the Task Manager is showing high CPU and GPU usage.  We are talking 80+% for the CPU and 97% for the GPU.  All I can think of that's changed is updating my GPU via GeForce Experience.  It worked fine before this.  It now stutters and can barely keep a stable frame rate.  Keep in mind, this isn't just when playing the game - it starts as soon as the game loads; from the black screen to the menu, and while playing. 

Is there a debug or log file I could send you that shows the technical details of what's happening?
