[Wii U] Game keeps randomly hard lock/crashing

Same issues here. I get a predictable freeze 2-3 minutes in the game, no matter what I'm doing.  However, it does seem to occur when I'm near a billboard. I know the developers integrated the miiverse to place your miis on them. Perhaps there is some kind of error that is locking up the whole system from the miiverse?

It's just a speculation. I have only successfully finished one race, I like to be able to actually play the game. Any suggestions is appreciated. (My resolution output is 1080p)
