Xbox party going completely silent during online (NFS Hear)

I have tried multiple times play with my gf on Need for speed heat multiple times and no matter what I do my Xbox party goes completely quiet during a race (we are also on the same platform), she can...

    Hey @Wario_Atario 

    Apologies what do you have set for Voice chat on your console settings?

    I believe its located in Settings > Privacy > Voice and Text Communication> Set to Everyone (if possible).

Hi @Wario_Atario, If you close the game does the audio from the Xbox party chat return?

    Yes the Xbox party chat returns when I close the game and also returns when I open the Xbox menu, so it only goes silent while playing the game.
