you are cute , first of all both of those were addition to NFS games , need for speed did not started in the 2000`s , it was a street racing game with cops chasing you , the fast and furious fever put those stupid modes in the games , and they were not popular at all , we did the events once because we had to for progression , never touched them again after that , and if you ask anyone why they buy a NFS game they will not say for drifting , because this is not a wheel game , and we do not want it to become one , this is an arcade racer , this game is more like a Wipeout XL game than a "driving" game , so when they try to make it a driving game it stops being a NFS game , all we want if crazy speed , nitro , items to mess with others , and good music , realism can go to where to sun does not shine, so if you want to drift , or drag , go play a sim , NFS is not the game to waste resources on those foolish modes
@CrashingTiger I'm well aware that NFS didn't come out in the 2000s. Who cares what it originally was? Thats not what they are now. Its no ones fault but your own that you dont know what current car culture is.
Your claim that NFS UG 2 and MW weren't popular is laughable. Those games alone are two of the highest selling games in the franchise.
Notice I said that drift and drag racing have been staples for decades, as NFS UG, UG2, MW, Carbon, and Prostreet came out in 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006, and 2007 which was decade/s ago. I suggest you learn proper reading comprehension before telling someone they're wrong. I've been playing this franchise for a long time. My first one was NFS 3. One of my favorites was Hot Pursuit 2. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to the franchise.
Saying what you buy NFS for is not the same as what everyone else buys it for. You're using your opinions as fact for everyone else. You don't represent the community nor the players. You don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to "what people buy the game for".
