- XGCSith3 years agoSeasoned Ace@Wireworm5 I don't remember seeing a Hellcat as a cop car. Yes there are cars that are player controlled that are cop cars but that isn't evidence of there being controllable cop cars. Those are to save time so that way they don't have to render different cars for police pursuits.
I tend to agree after reading a post on a Trailer that there won't be Player controlled Cops. But this is not definite as based on another Trailer it appears that Racers display there Money Value and are assigned a number based on their position in a Race. I believe this is an aid for Player Controlled Cops so they know who to target for the biggest cash reward for a Takedown. Then after a Checkered Flag there appears to be a yellow route outlined to a what might be a Safe House. I speculate that a Player Controlled Cop will attempt takedowns after a Racer has placed in a Race, in this yellow route.
A look at the Map suggests about 15 tunnels and possible other underground locations for Car Meets. This is why Spotters will be needed to look out for Cops during these Car Meets as Cops will be looking for these Cars Meets to net a bunch of Racers, but that could be AI Cops.
Anyway I'm still waiting to see. My heart sank as I realize I might be wrong about Player Cops, I want to Bust Racers.
- @Wireworm5 Previously only HP trilogy/Rivals and High Stakes had Be the Cop mode in singleplayer.Current NFS is still chasing the has-been street racing style of mid 2000s.So clearly EA still wants escape from cops to be the main chase gameplay. Most NFS with Be the Cop is still very HP style,so the two major aspect of current NFS-story and custom won't be suitable for it.Maybe if EA allow 90s HP style game return again in the future,we can see Be the Cop mode return as a main mode in singleplayer.
