Content Suggestion for NFS Unbound

So, this is the new NFS game today?? I'm actually pretty much excited about this game once it releases. Btw, we just want to give some content suggestions for the game to avoid problems or content lacking like what happened to NFS Heat. It’s not just about cars or music only, although we also need better soundtrack and better vehicles with better handling in the game, but something useful enough to make the gameplay more stunning with a bigger and better experience. Here are the contents to prepare for NFS Unbound:

1. NFS 2015 tune stance/camber style:

Need for Speed 2015 How to Stance & Remove Parts of your Car! (NFS Tips) - YouTube

- The tune stance of NFS 2015 is so good that you can lower your car's ride height to the lowest and adjust the track width a thicker one, aside from just adjusting the camber.

However, in Payback and Heat, the air suspension kit made the vehicle stance look awful, with only ride height and camber being the only options. Thus, the ride height doesn't go as low as the one in 2015, especially the lowest ride height for trucks is too high, and the air suspension kit is the only one that makes it go even lower, but it's very unpleasant cuz when I turn on my vehicle, the suspension goes up, instead of the cool looking lowered suspension on my vehicle.

Well, that's air suspension, and of course it will go up, but the thing is that it doesn't look cool. So either do not add the air suspension kit instead. Or maybe we could add it, but here's a better solution to make it easier to add both air suspension and track width adjustment in the game.

E.g. If the ride height is 0% (lowest height level), air bag/suspension kit should be restricted in the vanity inventory kit, while if the ride height is at least higher around 20% or more, air suspension can be used. Vice versa, if the air suspension kit is used, lowering the ride height level is restricted to 20% of lowering only (ride height lower than 20% is restricted when air suspension is used).

2. Wrap importation:

- Probably never asked about this?? But this is pretty useful for the game. Instead of spending our time recreating our wraps in this new NFS game, why not import our wraps from Heat and Payback to our cars in NFS Unbound, through the data wrap saved in our EA, Autolog, Facebook, Twitter, or Origin account or our PSN or Xbox account? Well, this might take a while to figure out, but I hope they can solve this. The wraps we made from Heat and Payback will come through our data wrap btw. Also, to make wrap importation compatible, they need to add the same/specific decal pieces available from the Payback and Heat decal inventory to the NFS Unbound decal inventory.

3. Customize our own account and profile:

- We want to customize our username in-game. Unlike in Heat, usernames only come through PSN or Xbox accounts when you sign in. Why tho? In Genshin Impact, you can edit your username, signature, and birthdate in-game. But Payback and Heat requires an account to use our username, otherwise, our name is only "player" if we don't have an account. Also, we want to have a reset data button in the in-game settings instead of having to go through your files or storage settings in the console or PC to reset the game data.

4. Decal grouping and bigger decal limit like Forza Horizon:

Decal grouping example on the decal bar in The Crew 2 (you could see the number of decals in a group there):

how I do anime liveries in TC2 - YouTube

- The decal limit in Payback and Heat are too small, around 300. Unlike Forza, which had a 1,000 decal limit so players could detail their wraps perfectly. Decal groupings are not available in NFS Payback and Heat, so we have to move every single decal one by one, which is annoying.

It's like I made an eye on an anime wrap, but if I made a mistake with the face, either I have to move the face or the eye, but the decals are separated one by one. Unlike Horizon and The Crew 2, you can group decals whenever you make a mistake or if you want to move one whole thing to another location, without moving every single piece of decal, thus it saves enough time.

5. Accurate engine sounds:

- We don’t need all sounds to be accurate, but known cars like the R34 Skyline, 2JZ Supra, BMW M3 GTR, McLaren F1, and others should have a perfected sound as well, not like the cringey ones with reverb sounds from 2015, Payback, and Heat.

Probably the engine sounds should be like the ones from the old NFS games, as long as the car also nails the engine sound it has in real life.

6. Please make our custom profile pics from our EA accounts appear in our in-game profile:

- Happened to other games aside from NFS. Also games like Apex Legends and some other games didn’t have the custom EA profile pic from the EA account showed up in the in-game profile of a user when they log-in using their EA account. I hope it shows up this time in this game when logging in with an EA account.

7. Custom free chat for online play:

- It’s so annoying that NFS Heat only uses a chat wheel, which you can’t even change your own text to talk with others to share what guys you like or introduce yourself to them aside from just using the selected ones only saying “Let’s race?”. Well, for security reasons, that’s why NFS Heat didn’t have it. But I mean like they could filter the player’s email whenever they put it in the chat.

8. Damage on online players and AI racers:

- If we want to do a demo derby challenge or cops vs robbers challenge, it would be fun if we could also damage other player’s cars. That was available in Heat, but I think in the 2020 patch, it was removed, probably to avoid bullying players online. But it would be boring for roleplay challenges like that. Probably instead, a player will not deal damage to online players and AI racers during a race and a chase, but if it’s like they’re not doing anything (not in a race or chase), then that’s the time a player could deal damage to them, but only a small amount of damage.

Okay guys, I think that's all. I hope you could share more suggestion before the game gets released. Happy racing everyone. See u all NFS players in the anime styled racing game when it's released. 🙂)

  • I completely agree with you, especially Wrap importation and Decal system. and I want add something......

    1. Custom Race: You can set the laps and AI

Maybe there are player who want a longer race. I want 10 Laps circuit race.

    2. First Person Camera

It may not be easy to add this, but I think the game will definitely be better with it. And interior customization(if it's possible)

If the handling/car physics are as good as underground 2 but a bit more modern and not such a crap like heat then it would be cool to have an option so you can create your own routes like in forza horizon where you can place checkpoints.

  • I also agree with a friend... and also add... as technology evolves, I would like NFS Unbond not to be necessary to use mods to have a better appearance or performance as Project Unite appeared for heat and predecessors... we want something new and better so we don't have to worry about installing mods... Ps: ...if so, they should give the friends who create the mods a chance to work on the team!!!...
Just to finish... more tuning of parts and styles for the cars, more different challenges, insane disputes, rewards where we can really spend our time playing and having fun... so that in the end... all of you will be praised for your job....
  • UPDATE:

    9. Custom Race: (suggestion by GT4Clubsport)

You can set the laps and AI. Maybe there are player who want a longer race. I want 10 Laps circuit race.

    - So, about this suggestion, yes. I agree. They could add allow players to create a custom race practice track or challenge, with custom AI cars, This is probably like practice mode in Valorant and Apex, although in those games you can't customize the practice mode map there. But in NFS Unbound, players could create a custom race track for fun or practice purposes.

    10. First Person Camera: (Suggestion by GT4Clubsport)

It may not be easy to add this, but I think the game will definitely be better with it. And interior customization(if it's possible)

    - for this suggestion, I also agree. The cars in 2015, Payback and Heat had a detailed interior, but there was no cockpit view. But, looking at the speedometer and RPM meter, if you look at it inside of any car in the game using snapshot mode, the speedometer just stays the same like it's from 200 mph, even if the car is stopping. It's not even moving, even if the car's interior is detailed, that's the problem, because they have to make a code to sync the speedometer and the speed of the vehicle together.

Here's an example. This is the interior of the M3 GTR in NFS Heat. The Mph speedometer is at 83, and gearbox is at 4, even if the car is just stopping there. So it's not easy, and I agree, although it's a good feature.

𝑵𝑺𝑳𝑨𝑳𝑶×ハンター on Twitter: "Heres how the BMW M3 GTR looks like inside, if anyone was wondering lol @BlackPanthaaYT . . #NeedforSpeedHeat #M3GTR https://t.co/Y5njq4UWKa" / Twitter

And speaking about interior customization, yes, very perfect suggestion. We also want to customize or change the bucket seats, convert the steering wheel to either RHD or LHD, and add some other accessories on the dashboard of our vehicles.

    11. Smooth handling and drifting physics:

Just like Forza Horizon and The Crew 2, or even old NFS games, where drifting is so smooth, we want that. We don't want the hard drifting style of Payback and Heat, and this is why cars couldn't do a 360 degree drift in Payback and Heat. This time, in NFS Unbound, we want smooth drifting physics like old NFS games which cars can also do a 360 degree drift. Also, about the handling physics, we want the proper and realistic handling like Forza Horizon and The Crew 2, not like the one from NFS Payback and Heat where your car keeps jumping every run in the game, and the physics for the side jumping ramp, please don't make the car crash btw.

    12. Removable parts:

Customization would be more fun with removable car parts, such as removing the hood, roof (for all convertible hard top and soft top cars, especially the S2000, Miata NA and ND), bumper, fenders, and etc.

    13. FWD to RWD and AWD swap option:

We want FWD vehicles like the Honda Civic and Volkswagen Golf GTi to drift and handle better.

    14. Use turn signals/indicators:

We also want to do realistic driving, even if this is a racing game, and it would also be fun using car indicators if you like practicing safe driving in the game.

    15. Garage and interior snapshot:

    - Doing snapshot mode in the garage is also fun aside from doing it outside. We also want to do snapshot mode for vehicle interiors too, especially in the garage.
