To be fair I really appreciate the game on several points but some issues make the game very VERY frustrating and make me stop the game. Cops are really unfunny on some levels.
You can't run away from them, there are far too many of them, at each end of the race you have a helicopter that appears out of nowhere (never alt+tab when you just finished a race)...
I spend more time looking at the minimap than the actual road because of the cops.
On another level the control scheme is always changing in the menus. When you finish a race depending if it's a drift, a race or a takeover, you can restart by pressing Y or B on your controller.
If you accidentally press the wrong key you start the race again without wanting to even if you won it before. IF YOU TRY TO SKIP ASAP ROCKY CINEMATIC THE RACE WILL RESTART AND YOU GONNA LOSE A RESTART. It's so easy to restart because there's no warning.
I had 0 restart because of this (for real) bc i keep pressing the wrong key during a cinematic that i can't skip. I DON'T CARE OF ASAP ROCKY IT'S THE SAME 3 LINES EVERYTIME I FINISH A TAKEOVER I DON'T CARE!! I tried a 12 000$ just before. I lost at nearly 99% of the track because A SWAT SUV RAN INTO ME FROM THE BACK WHEN I WAS AT 250 km/h (155 mph). It's impossible?? But they do this everytime? You can't do anything against them because they can overtake you at any speed (with impressive accelerations). I can't run into them, I can't lose them, what do I do?
And right after losing this race for no reason, i got arrested.
Most of the time I got arrested in game for dumb things (if your press alt+tab during the game it doesn't pause...). The progression is very slow, the chases are very long and difficult. Racing at night takes a monstruous amount of time because you spend more time dodging the cops (a staggering number of them) than racing. And if you don't succeed enough in your sessions YOU START AGAIN THE WHOLE WEEK, YOU LOSE HOURS AND HOURS OF PLAY.
NFS Heat was very easy to the point of becoming particularly boring, but Unbound is too punitive and with no escape. It's long and frustrating to the point that you lose the desire to continue.The races lose quality because of the cops who are too hard at a certain level. Too bad that the game is all the more frustrating due to slight calibration problems like the lack of constant control mapping? A weird camera for SUV with visual effects and an interface that block visibility? ASAP ROCKY????
