Dedicated matchmaking for Linkups

Just thought I'd create a thread to suggest my most-wanted feature.

I only started playing Unbound after volume 3 when linkups were added. As a player that absolutely loves cooperative game modes, especially in racing games, ala forza horizon 4's forzathon live, and my personal favourite: Burnout paradise's freeburn challenges, I have absolutely adored this mode. It's where I've spent 90% of my 200 hours(!) in the game so far. I would absolutely love proper matching for this mode. I could spend hours just helping other players complete objectives and levelling their speedpass up. I maxed out my speedpass weeks ago but I still love the mode enough to keep playing these events almost daily. I would play this mode even more if there were a dedicated playlist to just find players to play this with.

If the issue is earning too much money and XP, I suppose I'd be okay with reducing the rewards, but not too much that it dissuades players from participating in the event.

One more suggestion that everyone may not agree on: Please unlock all cars for purchase without completing all the online versus challenges.

After playing hundreds of linkups, I've accrued over 30 million credits. I just want to buy the cars I want. I don't have any intention of playing the competitive game modes in this game. It doesn't interest me.

  • Your point regarding unlocking all cars. I get why you're asking for this, but removing challenges robs the game of content for those interested in those types of challenges. As a compromise, perhaps there could be a discounted price for players who complete the challenge, and for those not interested in the challenge but who want the car, they could maybe just pay more?

  • 1.Skilled Linkup players deserve respect for boosting success rates and supporting others. Diversifying rewards could make it more appealing. If there's enough demand, perhaps some changes could happen?

    2. Challenges can be time-consuming and challenging, even for skilled players. If I could buy cars without completing them, I would. While Custom Cars unlocked in the story mode and used in Lakeshore Online offer relief, it's not comprehensive.

"KEYS TO THE MAP" only showed locations (I misunderstood and bought it). Drift events were enjoyable, and exploring the map was fun, but achieving first or second place in S+ races or completing B-Class 30 times was tough.

@Thump3r_77 I think that's a pretty good compromise! I'd happily pay full price for the cars, or even give the cars for free for people who have completed the associated challenge.
