I really like the game, but now I am getting frustrated. Played on default difficulty and made it to Saturday Week 1. and failed. Then I lowered to Relaxed difficulty and though it would be much easier... but no.... It´s far from relaxed and with no worries to fail. The AI is till competitive as hell and you have very little room for errors or mistakes. I played so much and my car is at max for Rank A. I use burst nitro, get a perfect start, but the AI seems so much faster than me. I wish I could just skip ahead to week 2. This is my car: https://imgur.com/a/DoXP7G9 This in no joy anymore, I want to drive the higher classes to, but already spent 20 hrs on first week/prolugue.
Funny thing is that I have no problem placing first in Grid or Grid Legends, even on the harder difficulties. I do fine in Forza 7 to. Might be that Unbound is so chaotic with so many small things to react and consider that it overwhelms me.
Relaxed/Easy should be a setting for when you have difficult with a race and need to win without much skill or wanna play the game casually.
I did one thing last night that helped me get through Friday and Sat events. After getting your near maxed A car, then on Friday, tweak the tuning so down force is almost all the way to Low. That allowed me to almost keep up with the leader, and as they were slower cornering then my AWD, I could overtake them on the corners with some work.
However, without much downforce, if you get bumped you get sent all over the road.
It is still way more challenging than it should be for relaxed mode.
Also look out for the police on Sat event. Thier AI seems to specifically target the player's car on that day, not just any racer. There is one point you will have a cop car jetting at you from side streets on both sides. If you time it right you can avoid them, or... both impact you one after the other, and you stay on the road, instead of being spun out.
This game is getting more frustrating day by day due to the difficulty of relaxed mode. Man is it hard
This is the biggest if not one of the biggest threads on the forum ! I am grateful for all the comments of the devs ignore this something is seriously wrong.
Also want to add, I agree With others saying cops should be tweaked…no reason they should be on every corner and once I beat The game + have everything I want there should be a way to play without dealing with chases (nfs Heat)
